 
So What are the Rules for Vacation-A-Day?
Vacation-A-Day Rules - effective 3/25/09
KWJZ will be giving a chance to win a Vacation-A-Day, Monday through Friday, to Smooth Jazz Club Members. Destinations will be announced on the radio. To win, listeners need to join the Smooth Jazz Club in any of these manners. 1. Call 425-653-9455 and leave the information with the attendant. 2. Log on to www.kwjz.com and sign up online. 3. Call the station at 425-373-5536 or stop by at 3650 131st Ave. SE, Suite 550, Bellevue, WA and enter manually. 4. Or email their information to smoothjazz@kwjz.com. When joining the Smooth Jazz Club, you must provide your name, address, daytime phone and date of birth. To be qualified for Vacation-A-Day you must also live within the TSA. This area is based upon the Total Sampling Area as defined by the 1999 Arbitron Reporting System.
Allow a minimum of ten business days for your sign up to be processed and to be eligible to win. Once signed up, listen for your name. The list of eligible members will be arranged alphabetically by last name. Qualifier names will be selected at random by computer. The random number is between 1 and the total number of club members in the database on the day the qualifier is chosen.
KWJZ will announce the name of one qualifier during a specified hour announced each weekday morning, Monday through Friday, at 7:45am. You must hear your name and call 425-653-9455 within 45 minutes to qualify. If a couple signs up for the club together, only one name will be read over the air. Only the qualifier that is announced on the air, may call in to verify that they are a Smooth Jazz Club Member and claim their trip. Friends, relatives or spouses are not allowed to call in for the qualified member. If a qualifier does not call within 45 minutes they will be disqualified for that day.
Your name may only be chosen once as qualifier within any given week of the contest. Vacation-A-Day Winners are only allowed to win Vacation-A-Day once annually. In addition, only one winner per family residing in the same household may win Vacation-A-Day within a given year. Odds of winning depend on number of entries received and number of listeners at any given time. Once the prize has been awarded, KWJZ will send the winner information to claim their prize. All winners will be notified by mail. KWJZ has 30 days from the date the vacation is won to contact the winner with redemption information. Any changes to travel itinerary may incur a fee to the prize winner. KWJZ is not responsible for any charges incurred by and/or assessed to the winner for any changes made.
In lieu of the vacation package, the winner may elect to receive a cash payment of $1,000.00 at the time the prize is awarded. To elect the cash payment, the winner must indicate such election on his/her release form.
All contest rules are available at the KWJZ business office during regular business hours Monday through Friday 8:30am–5:30pm, at www.kwjz.com, or are available by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to Vacation-A-Day Rules at 3650 131st Ave. SE, Suite 550, Bellevue, WA 98006. Unless otherwise specified, all winners must be at least 21 years old.
Subject to state laws, the contest is open to all legal residents of the United States as described above except employees and their families of Bellevue Radio Inc., Orca Radio, Seascape, Sandusky Newspapers, Inc. or it's subsidiaries, affiliates and/or agents and contest affiliates of the radio stations. Winner must certify they had no knowledge they would be selected as the contest winner at any time prior to actual selection and had no prior contact with any representative of KWJZ radio or any person in any way connected with the station. Further, winner must certify they had not received information not generally available to the public which would in any way be helpful in being the prize recipient.
No purchase necessary. Purchase does not improve chances of winning. All federal, state and local taxes; if any, are the responsibility of the individual winner. An IRS 1099 Form will be issued for prizes valued at $600 or more. All prizes will be awarded when applicable and substitutions may be made by KWJZ. Prizes are non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash.
By entering this contest, winners consent, without limitation and without receiving additional compensation, to the use of their names, voices, photographs and/or likeness for advertising and/or trade purposes of KWJZ and it's affiliates or agents. All entries to any contests remain the property of KWJZ. If the contest is judged by KWJZ, all judges' decisions are final. KWJZ has the right to make changes in the contest in order to protect the integrity of the station. Winner acknowledgment and release forms may be necessary for release of a prize and must include winner's names, address, city, state, zip code, date of birth, work and home telephone numbers, social security number and signature. All winners are subject to conditions outlined on the winner's release and acknowledgment forms.
If a person is deemed ineligible for acceptance of a prize, she or he will be contacted. If a winner can not be located or does not respond to claim his/her prize within 60 days after written notification, the prize will be forfeited. All prizes will be mailed unless otherwise indicated. Prizes to be picked up from KWJZ are available between 9:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday at the KWJZ business office. All winners must show proper identification, proof of residence within the TSA and sign a release form at the time she or he receives their prize. Additional rules may apply to specific contests and are explained in an addendum when applicable.
KWJZ reserves the right to modify these rules and/or discontinue this contest at any time.
